Are You Really Committed To Your Health and Wellness Plan?

Are you committed to your health and wellness plan? I believe that success, wealth, prosperity, abundance, lifestyle freedom, or however you define your “ULTIMATE success” only comes to those who are committed to their purpose. See, you and every single successful person you know are alike. You have access to information, and to resources that were once out of the reach of folks like you and me. And you have access to coaches, mentors, advisers, communities, forums, seminars, masterminds and workshops to guide you all the way to success. But even in the best of circumstances some people will stay where they are in life, never achieving the level of success they dreamed of, and in fact they’ll digress, get bitter and resentful of others because of their limiting self beliefs and ...(Read More)

Is Arthritis a Degenerative Condition?

Is arthritis a degenerative condition?  Are all forms of arthritis auto-immune?  Okay, let’s examine those questions.  This is a topic near and dear to me as I have this condition and have been able to stop all symptoms and regenerate healthy tissue. Is that possible?  Because I work as a nurse I’ve been exposed to all types of medical treatments over the past 39 years. Degeneration is caused by the body self attacking the tissue as with auto-immune conditions or inflammation, oxidative stress or free radical damage, and wear & tear.   In medicine we do not talk about regeneration because we work primarily with drugs or surgery.   Have you ever thought about how miraculous the human body is and about it’s amazing potential to regenerate healthy cells given the right compounds.  I am not talking a drug that shuts down a pathway but about nutrients that decrease damage ...(Read More)

USDA Forces Whole Foods To Accept Monsanto

“The policy set for GE alfalfa will most likely guide policies for other GE crops as well. True coexistence is a must.”   –  Whole Foods Market, Jan. 21, 2011 In the wake of a 12-year battle to keep Monsanto’s Genetically Engineered (GE) crops from contaminating the nation’s 25,000 organic farms and ranches, America’s organic consumers and producers are facing betrayal. A self-appointed cabal of the Organic Elite, spearheaded by Whole Foods Market, Organic Valley, and Stonyfield Farm, has decided it’s time to surrender to Monsanto. Top executives from these companies have publicly admitted that they no longer oppose the mass commercialization of GE crops, such as Monsanto’s controversial Roundup Ready alfalfa, and are prepared to sit down and cut a deal for “coexistence” with Monsanto and USDA biotech cheerleader Tom Vilsack. In a cleverly worded, but profoundly misleading email sent to its customers last week, Whole Foods Market, while proclaiming their support for organics and ...(Read More)

Metabolic Syndrome Risks

Going Metabolic Are you at risk? Formerly called Syndrome X, metabolic syndrome is the new term used to describe a group of health conditions that together increase your risk of developing type 2 diabetes, stroke, kidney disease, heart disease, and poor leg circulation. The health conditions that fall under the metabolic syndrome umbrella include high blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol and excess fat around the waist-all of which affect your metabolism. If you have only one of these conditions, you don’t have metabolic syndrome, though you’re at increased risk of developing a range of diseases. But once you find yourself living with three or more metabolic conditions, you have metabolic syndrome and your chances of developing a serious disease are even greater. Don’t lose heart, though, because there’s good news! Aggressive lifestyle changes of exercise and diet (and taking certain medications if required) can improve your condition or even ...(Read More)

HFCS it’s a sweet poison to your body and to your health

It shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone that high fructose corn syrup, or HFCS, is bad for our health. But toxic? Read on. Dana Flavin, M.S., M.D., Ph.D., is a former science assistant to the associate bureau director for toxicology with the FDA, and she cites numerous ways that HFCS is hurting our health. In fact, she asserts that HFCS is, in fact, toxic and is poisoning us. Flavin points out that HFCS is a common additive found in many processed foods such as breakfast cereals, brand-name breads, salad dressings, commercial cakes and cookies, soft drinks—and even condiments.—plus a whole lot more. She says that HFCS is silently, but surely, increasing our risk for obesity, diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular unhealth as well as metabolic syndrome—creating what will be an epidemic of metabolic diseases in the future. She also gives an eye-opening account of just how we got ourselves into this ...(Read More)

Alkaline foods are better than Acidic foods for a healthy body

It’s pretty simple. The body and its processes—including the immune, metabolic, enzymatic and restorative processes—do better in an alkaline environment instead of an acidic one. Unfortunately, the foods typically consumed by most Americans are overly acidic-forming foods, and that’s hurting our health. Let’s back up the train a bit, though, and talk about pH. The body’s internal environment is sustained at a pH level of nearly 7.0, which is more alkaline. It’s in a state of constant flux, however, and the body works continuously to keep it at its 7.0 alkaline pH. In so doing, the body must have oxygen, water and acid-buffering minerals—in addition to quickly getting rid of waste products—to maintain this pH level. In short, the body takes the nutrients you give it from your food, which will either alkalinize or acidify the blood. Sometimes the body has to work extra hard, too, to keep this pH ...(Read More)

3 So-Called Healthy Foods That You Should Stop Eating

The average adult eating a typical Western diet in modern countries consumes approximately 70% of their calories from wheat, corn and soy. Our bodies, however, are still programmed to the natural diets of our ancestors, who only included approximately 5% of their total calories from these foods. Considering this disparity, it’s not hard to imagine why we have such massive problems with obesity and poor nutrition. Our digestive systems were not meant to consume these foods in such large amounts and as such we have developed many intolerances and allergies to soy and wheat (also known as gluten), causing bloating. These high levels of wheat, corn and soy in our modern diet are a relatively new phenomenon that originated from the economics of their multi-billion dollar industries.  It’s all about the money and not about our health! Derivatives of wheat, corn and soy are the food additives: corn oil soybean ...(Read More)
